Why this exists
To help MSPs spend less on recurring tool licences and keep more control over their own stack.
A managed service provider's tooling bill grows in a particular way: per technician, per endpoint, per device, per site, renewed annually, adjusted upward. Individually each line is defensible. Together they are a fixed cost that scales with the business whether or not the margin does, and that nobody can leave without a migration nobody has time for.
MSP Zero is where the tools published at github.com/agit8or1 are catalogued in one place, with enough detail to decide whether one of them covers something you are currently renting. They are self-hosted and MIT licensed. You install them on your own infrastructure, your data stays in your own database, and there is no licence server to phone home to.
What this site is not
- Not a claim that these replace everything. They cover documentation and service desk, firewall fleet management, Proxmox and hardware, backup administration and remote support. Each project page lists what that project explicitly does not do, taken from its own README.
- Not a product suite. Five separate programs that install independently. Use one, or build your own stack.
- Not a store. Nothing here is sold. The only paid thing on this site is setup and hosting from MSP Reboot, and that is a service, not a version of the software.
Who publishes them
The projects are published by MSP Reboot, an MSP consulting practice. MSP Reboot also offers paid setup and hosting for these tools, for people who would rather not run them. That service is how the work is funded; it is not a condition of using anything here.
How to read the claims on this site
Every capability listed for a project comes from that project's own README, licence file and committed screenshots. Every screenshot is the real interface with the project's demo data, not a mock-up. Where a project says something is untested, off by default, or not yet in the repository, that is on its page too — a directory that only lists strengths is not one you can plan a stack from.
There are no customer counts, testimonials, uptime figures or performance numbers anywhere on this site, because there is no verified source for any of them.
