What this is
MSP Reboot is the consulting practice that publishes these projects. As a separate, paid engagement it will install and configure the tools you choose and host them for you, so that what you get back is a working system with a URL rather than a repository and an evening's work.
It is a commercial service. Hosting, infrastructure, setup time and anything ongoing are things you are paying for — none of it is included with the software, and none of it is free.
What an engagement typically covers
- Working out which of the projects actually fit what you are trying to replace.
- Provisioning and configuring the server the tool runs on.
- Installing the project and getting it to a working, signed-in state.
- Connecting it to what it has to talk to — your Proxmox clusters, your OPNsense fleet, your UrBackup server, your RustDesk endpoints.
- Hosting it on infrastructure MSP Reboot runs, if that is what you want.
Nothing about price, response times or what is included is stated on this page, because none of it is fixed in advance. Scope, cost and any ongoing commitments are agreed in the quote for your engagement. If you see a number anywhere on this site, it came out of a project's own documentation — not out of a service agreement.
What it does not change
- The software stays free. Every project is MIT licensed and self-hostable. You never have to buy anything to use one.
- No feature is withheld. A hosted install runs the same code as one you set up yourself. There is no paid tier and no licence server.
- You can leave. The projects are open source, the data is in ordinary databases, and you can take it and run it elsewhere.
- Bugs are still handled in the open. Issues go to the project's GitHub tracker whether or not you have an engagement.
